Thank you for visiting PIRICA's homepage from among the many shops.
PIRICA means "something beautiful" in the Ainu language I moved to Ishigaki Island from Hokkaido 10 years ago and wanted to share the beautiful nature of Yaeyama with as many people as possible, so I started PIRICA.
Our motto is "It's not where you dive, it's who you dive with", and we would like to create a shop where our customers will want to come back to PIRICA again, no matter the weather or sea conditions. .

A wide variety of diving points
Our captains and guides, all with over 10 years of experience, will guide you to the best spots on their own boats, depending on the weather, sea conditions, and your requests. We also do remote island expeditions.
Dive and save PIRICA points
With PIRICA's original point system, you can save up points that can be used next time and enjoy a great deal on the sea (no joining fee or annual fee)
Small class size
There is a maximum of 4 people per guide, so if you are a beginner, if you want to swim at your own pace, if you want to have a lot of photos taken, if you want to take a lot of photos, this is the place for you.
Aerial underwater photo gift
You can take photos of the brightly colored underwater creatures, dynamic topography, and swimming guests, and if the weather is nice, you can also take photos with a drone. All photos and videos will be given away.

SPRING
Spring January to March
Manta rays on the surface of the water: Manta rays float to the surface of the water to prey on plankton.
Courting manta rays: You may even see a manta train where multiple male manta rays chase a female manta ray.
Recommended for those who want to see manta rays.
The water temperature has dropped and there are many sea slugs
The number of days when the north wind blows increases, and I often go to the Taketomi/Kuroshima area and the east coast of Ishigaki Island.

SUMMER
Summer April to June
You can see large squids laying their eggs in the crevices of the coral, males and females mating, and males fighting with each other.
The chances of encountering manta rays are lower than in other seasons.
The exquisite coral fields and dynamic topographical features of Kohama Island and Iriomote Island are attractive.
I've seen manta rays many times, and would recommend this to anyone wanting to see other creatures or go on an expedition to a remote island.

AUTUMN
Autumn July to September
The chances of encountering manta rays increase at Kabira's manta ray point.
The sight of many angelfish swarming at the topographical point is fantastic.
Many macro-organisms thrive in the sandy areas.
The sea conditions are stable, so it is recommended even for those who are not used to boating in the sea.

WINTER
Winter October to December
The chances of seeing cleaning manta rays (October to November) and hunting manta rays (November to December) will increase.
Recommended for those who want to see manta rays.
As the water temperature drops, the number of macro-organisms such as sea slugs and razorfish increases.
